Settings

The Settings page is the central hub for configuring your household and personal preferences. Available sections depend on your permissions.

Profile Settings

Update your display name and personal account details from the Profile page, accessible from the header or sidebar.

Notification Preferences

Configure which notification types you want to receive and through which channels. You can also manage your task watch subscriptions here. These settings are personal to your account and do not affect other household members.

Tag Management

Members with the settings.manage permission can create, edit, and delete tags from the Settings page. Each tag has a name and an optional hex color. Tags are shared across the household and available for all members to apply to tasks.

Role Management

Members with the roles.manage permission can manage roles from the Settings page. You can:

  • View all built-in and custom roles
  • Create new custom roles with specific permission sets
  • Edit custom role permissions
  • Assign roles to household members
  • Delete custom roles (built-in roles cannot be deleted)

Allowance Configuration

Members with the balances.allowance.manage permission can set up recurring allowances for any member. Configure the amount and frequency (weekly, biweekly, or monthly). Each member can have one active allowance configuration. Payments are processed automatically on schedule.

Note: Allowance configuration is only available when financial tracking is enabled for the household.
